GU10-GU19 and BU10-BU14 Washington Cup Information

Cup Details:

 

  • $650 per team, U11- U19.
  • $500 Per team, U10.
  • Registration deadline: March 10.
  • Western WA Cup Qualifiers, Home/Away: March 29-30 (Home/Away will only be necessary in divisions that are too large to accomodate the full schedule on the qualifier weekend, or in divisions where quarter final matches will be necessary.)
  • Western WA Qualifer, Venue: Apr. 4-6 @ Starfire
  • Eastern WA Qualifer: Apr 11-13 @ Spokane Polo Grounds. Eastern Washington Girls U15 older could play at Starfire depending on numbers of teams.
  • U10 teams will play their tournament in one weekend on April 25-27 @ Black Hills Community Soccer Park in Tumwater. This is qualifying tournament. The winner qualifies for NWCL slot for U11 and top four finishers automatically qualify for the Washington State Premier League.
  • Championship Finals for U11-U19:  @ Lacey and Puyallup on April 25-27.
  • Teams will be seeded.
  • Championship Finals will have gold and silver divisions.
  • Copa division teams will play in their own Bronze division in first and second legs.
  • Guarantee of three matches.
  • Two legged tournament: league provides fields and refs.
  • Potential for western and eastern Washington divisions for first-round play.
  • Winners of Gold Divisions receive free entry to US Club Regionals ($895 value) in June.

 


Additional Information

Check-in Times:

  • Check-in will begin Friday at 4 p.m. at Starfire and beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Field locations:

  • Puget Sound games will be played at Starfire and surrounding fields in the Renton area.
  • Eastern Washington games will be played at the Polo Grounds in Spokane
  • The Championship Finals field will take place at Heritage Park in Puyallup and the Regional Athletic Center in Lacey.

Player Eligibility:

  • All players must have US Club Player cards. No cards no play.
  • Roster is frozen at check-in for the entire tournament.
  • For state-Cup match, teams must present the US Club player cards and the approved PSPL game-day roster to the referees. Team managers must have separate copies of  US Club Master roster available to opposing team.
  • Only the players designated at check in, either up to 14 or 18 depending on age-group, are eligible to play in the tournament.

Other important details:

  • Gold Division winners earn free registration to the US Club Regionals in late June at 60 Acres in Redmond.
  • Winners also can receive invitation to Mustang Stampede (girls), Slammers FC Futobal Classic (boys/girls) and Santa Clara Invitational (boys) -- three highly prestigious tournaments in California.
  • There will be gold and silver divisions, and all teams have been seeded for the first round. The top four or eight teams advance to the Gold division finals and the next group will advance to the Silver division finals.
  • A Gold and Silver final round for the finals and winners for both divisions.
  • There will be a bronze division that plays among bronze-division teams only.

 

 

BU15-BU19 Washington Cup Information

  • Registration deadline: January 15.
  • Group Play Match 1 (Home/Away) February 1
  • Group Play Match 2 (Home/Away) February 8
  • Group Play Match 3 (Home/Away) February 9
  • Semi Finals (Issaquah Central Park): February 22
  • Finals (Issaquah Central Park): February 23
  • Teams will be seeded, higher seeds will get majority of "home" matches in group play.
  • Guarantee of three matches.
  • Winners of Gold Divisions receive free entry to US Club Regionals ($895 value) in June.
  • Gold winners and finalists also receive invitation to the Santa Clara Invitational boys tournament.

Check-in Procedure:

  • The league will provide all participating teams check-in details 7 days in advance of the event.

Field locations:

  • Home teams will provide field and referees for group play matches.  QF, SF and Finals will be venue based with fields and referees provided by the PSPL and the the Washington Cup Tournament Committee.
  • The Championship Finals field will take place at Issaquah Highlands Central Park.
