We are excited about our annual college showcase event and look forward to seeing some great competitive soccer.

We have put together an informational packet that should answer most of your questions. Please read through this packet carefully as there are a few documents that must be returned prior to your team’s participation in the tournament.

Pacific Coast Super Cup Information Sheet
 
 
1.     Dates and Locations
 
The competition in Washington will take place on January 28-29 at Starfire Sports and a few local fields.
The competition in Oregon, which will include the playoffs, will be held on February 18-20 at various fields in the Beaverton/Portland Area.

2.      Accommodations
The Embassy Suites in Seatac is the official host Hotel in Seattle
The Marriott is the official Host hotel in Oregon.                   
 
3.     Sanctioning
 
US Club – this tournament is a US Club sanctioned tournament so each team is required to have US Club cards to participate. To obtain US Club Player cards please visit www.usclubsoccer.org
Please note that all cards must be laminated. All coaches must have Us Club cards as well. Cards must be presented to the referee before each match.
 
4.     Check-In
      Team check-in will be available on Friday Night at the Embassy Suite Hotel in SeaTac from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Saturday in the lobby of the Starfire Sports Complex from 7:00am to 7:00pm. You must submit a master roster which you can print from your US Club account. Player cards will be checked at that time.
 
5.     Lystedt Law
 
      Concussion compliance. This is mandatory for those teams playing at Renton Memorial Stadium,  Lindbergh, and Foster High Schools.
 
Washington State Law requires all players, parents and coaches to be familiar with the signs and symptoms of concussions and to sign a concussion compliance form which can also be found at www.pugetsoundpremierleague.com. At the end of this document you will find another form that must be completed by the manager and signed by both the coach and the manager acknowledging that all players, parents and coaches have received, read and signed the concussion compliance form. This form should be emailed to tournament@pugetsoundpremierleague.com or turned in on-site at team check in.   This is a requirement. Without this form teams will not be allowed to compete.
 
6.     Parking 
 
      There is a fee to park at Starfire sports so please come prepared. For more information on parking please visit the Starfire website at www. Starfiresports.com or click here.

In order to make the most of the College Showcase please fill out the “Team Roster for Colleges” form which can be found at www.pugetsoundpremierleague.com on the left side of the Pacific Coast Super Cup page.  This form will be included in a booklet given to each college coach; this is not the official roster. To be included in this booklet, please fill out the attached form and email to tournament@pugetsoundpremierleague.com by Monday, January, 23.
Another way to make the most of the college showcase is to bring bios of each player on your team and assemble them in a booklet to be made available for each of the coaches.
9.   College Talks 
 
      During the Washington leg of the tournemnt Mike Baggett, a representative for Sportsworx, a college athletic and academic information services, will conduct several informational sessions for players, parents and coaches on the realities of trying to secure a college scholarship in soccer.

 

      You might be very surprised. Baggett will present an overview of the entire process and help you understand what is possible and how to be proactive. Baggett will conduct two sessions on Saturday and at least one on Sunday. Stay tuned for updates on time and location during the tournament.

 
      During the Oregon leg Joy Boswell, former head soccer coach at Pacific University and currently a coach with the Oregon Olympic Development Program, will be giving insights into the college process.   
 
      Also during the Oregon Leg, Brian Baxter, MA, will be giving a talk on sport psychology. Brian has not only played soccer in college but has  earned a USSF C license. His time as a coach reaffired his believe in the importance of the mental side of sports so he decided to combine his coaching skills with his psychology knowledge to become a sport psychology consultant. He is committed to helping athletes define success and achieve that success through mental skills and training.
 
      More inforamtion will be available on the date, time and location for all of these talks as we get closer to each leg of the tournament.
 
 
10.    Guidelines
 
    a. All fields will be turf fields.  A reminder that only clear water is allowed on the fields. No other food or drink is allowed.
    b. Spectators must stay off the field turf when watching matches.
    c. Do not congregate behind the goals.
    d. No Ben gay or other greasy rubs on the field turf.
    e. No metal cleats of any kinds.
    f.  Please keep all the fields clean and pick up any garbage, empty bottles, etc.

We confirm that all players, parents and coaches on the ­­
